THE BASICS
What are eyelash extensions?
Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are synthetic lashes that are attached to your natural eyelashes. Unlike false or strip lashes, extensions are glued one by one to individual eyelashes and NOT to your skin. Extensions enhance your natural beauty by adding length and fullness to your existing lashes. They let you wake up looking beautiful and walk out the door ready with zero effort!
How long do they last?
When properly cared for your eyelash extensions will last until your natural eyelashes shed as they normally would. Exact timing varies, but most people’s eyelashes shed 2-4 per day. To maintain your look, come in for a touch up every 2-3 weeks.
Are they safe?
Absolutely! When properly applied, eyelash extensions are a safe and gorgeous alternative to mascara and strip lashes.
I've heard extensions make your natural lashes fall out. Is this true?
Not at all! When properly applied and cared for, eyelash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. Instead, your natural lash will shed as it normally does, taking the extension with it and new lash will grow in its place.
THE PROCESS
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Come to your appointment without wearing any eye makeup (no mascara, eyeliner or shadow), or creams. If you normally wear contacts, bring your case and glasses. For your first appointment, please arrive 5 minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork.
What happens during my full set appointment?
You will come in and have a brief consultation. We will examine your natural eyelashes and discuss the look you want to achieve. After this conversation, you will hop on our comfortable heated lash bed, where you can relax and listen to music or an audiobook (please bring your device and earbuds) we also play soft background music. We will do a quick cleanse and rinse your lashes, then cover your lower lashes for protection. We will begin the process of individually bonding extensions to your natural lashes. The procedure is safe, painless and relaxing – so much that you may find yourself drifting off! At the end of the procedure, we will remove the protective coverings and let you see your beautiful new set of lashes!
What if I'm not sure what full set to choose?

Not a problem! All full sets begin with a consultation so we can discuss exactly what you're looking for and answer any question that you may have.
How long will my appointment take?
Depending on how many natural eyelashes you have and the style of lashes you choose, the application of a full set can take up to 3 hours, while most fills can be completed within 60 minutes. For more specific timing, please refer to our services menu.
I had my extensions applied somewhere else. Can I still come for a fill at Allure Lashes?
Absolutely! Because lash styling and technique can vary widely, we require clients with lashes from an outside salon to book a "Client Transfer Fill" This service provides us enough time to fully assess your existing extensions and determine the best service for you! To preserve the health of your natural lashes, we may not be able to fill the existing work (generally in the case of too long and/or heavy extensions) and may instead recommend removal and application of a fresh full set. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions!
EXTENSIONS
How should I take care of my extensions?
Caring for your extensions is simple. Avoid blasts of heat such as opening a hot oven or grill, sauna or steam room. Beyond that, just be gentle! Don’t curl or perm your lashes, and avoid oil-based products near your eyes (makeup, makeup remover, sunscreen, etc.). Please do not pick, pull or rub your extensions hard. We'll send you home with a special aftercare kit with instructions to help maintain your beautiful extensions.

Can I wear eye makeup?

Extensions are so beautiful on their own that you’ll probably find you don’t need any additional enhancement. However, if you just can’t live without your eyeliner or mascara, go ahead. Just make sure it’s water-soluble and oil-free, as makeup with oil can loosen the glue’s bond, causing the extension to separate from the natural lash and fall off prematurely.

When you remove your makeup, stick to oil-free removers and be careful not to rub your eyes. Please be advised that even if you choose to wear oil-free makeup, there’s a chance your extensions will separate prematurely.
